Galerie Havelka invites you to the new exhibition of Jan Vičar called “On the Road”, which takes place since February 1 to February 23 in the gallery.
At Jan Vičar’s Graphic Exhibition at the Havelka Gallery there will be lithographs from his days spent in Munich; huge linocuts from the symposium at the Egon Schiele Art Center in Česky Krumlov; and copperplates created in the graphic studio in Pasov.
Themes and technical diversity are characteristics of this artist, from a combination of lofty prints to delicate linear effects via lithographs and copperplating. He also uses various drawings and designs, such as actual imprints of his son’s hand. He easily merges reality with abstract forms, often crossing over into geometric structures.
