1954 / Born 29 August in Náchod.

1973 / Trained as a litoghrapher; later works in graphic professions. Moved to Zblov near Česká Skalice with his wife and the first of his five sons. Created a series of figurative linear paintings. Later works on the series of ‘Crystals’ and ‘Compositions’.

1979 / Painted first landscapes, which would soon become a dominant feature of his production.

1985 / Exhibition of his pictures at the University Club in Prague opened by Jiří Reynek. More extensive work in graphic media in the following years.

1986 / Left his job after a serious illness dedicating himself to freelance work.

1990 / Exhibition at the Municipal Museum in Jaroměř.

1991 / Exhibition at the State Gallery of Fine Arts in Náchod.

1992 / Together with Martin Souček and Jan Kapusta, established the Arbor vitae foundation.

1993 / Together with Václav Boštík, he exhibited at the Municipal Museum in Lanškroun.

1994 / Participated in the exhibition ‘From the Czech Fine Arts’ at the Museum and Gallery in Litomyšl.

1996 / Series of exhibitions at the Pecka Gallery and the Municipal Beseda Gallery in Prague, Municipal Gallery in Veselí na Moravě, Půda Gallery in Lomnice nad Popelkou and the State Gallery of Fine Arts in Náchod. Pavel Maur publishing house brought out his collection of poems entitled ‘White Script’.

1997 / His wife established Opus Publishing. He designs its titles and takes part in the editorial work of the publishing house. Exhibitions at the Artgument Gallery in Montbazon, France, and at the Museum and Gallery in Litomyšl.

1998 / Under the stipend at the Jüdisches Museum Rendsburg he worked in North Germany for four months. Exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art in Roudnice n. L.

1999 / Exhibition of his works on paper at the ‘U bílého zajíce’ Gallery, Prague.

2002 / Exhibited his works at the ‘U Bílého jednorožce’ Gallery in Klatovy and at the Pecka Gallery in Prague.

2003 / Exhibition at the Czech Centre in Munich. Participated in the ‘Umělecká beseda 1863–2003’ exhibition at the City Gallery, Prague.

2005 / Exhibitions in Dreikönigkirche in Dresden and in the Czech Centre in Rome.

Lives and works in Zblov and Martínkovice.
